Non Profit Resources

Nearly all of our team solutions apply to non profit organizations but we have additional resources and services that are uniquely suited to this industry.
Volunteer Staff
Yes, Volunteers really are staff!
This seminar is designed for those who manage and recruit volunteers,  paid staff who interact with volunteers and decision makers who decide what they want volunteers to accomplish.
This six hour session uses a series of short profile questionnaires to understand what your organization needs from volunteers then moves into guided discussion and activities to help your paid staff better understand and communicate with your unpaid staff (volunteers). In the last part of the session participants will develop action plans to take immediate steps to improve and enhance their relationship with your volunteers.

Creating an Active Board
How to make your board more than names on a Press Release
There are valid reasons for having a "Name" on your board but they should never be more than 20% of your members. The most effective board members have an interest in your mission, skills to share, and a desire to accomplish something. This six hour session will examine how to identify the skills you want and need, how to recruit, and how to put strengths & weakness to work for the organization.
This is intended for senior management and existing board members.

Volunteer Recruitment
We know their value, how do we find them?
This three hour training focuses on identifying sources of volunteers that fit your organization, identifying their motivations and sustaining their commitment to your mission. We will explore recruiting techniques, setting and communicating expectations and goals and evaluating the efforts of volunteers. Yes, we did say evaluating volunteers! Most people want to feel valued and evaluations of volunteers are every bit as important as evaluation of paid staff. We will share some techniques and tips that can help you build a volunteer staff that gets things done and provides long term continuity.
Leadership Retreats
Understanding missions and setting goals
Retreats can be a single day or multiple days, on-site or off-site. We can listen to your reasons for a retreat and design and facilitate the event. We can also tell you that your reasons for a retreat are good or bad and help you shape the purpose to what you need. Our facilitation can keep you focused, ease conflicts and offer an outsiders view that can energize your leadership, provide new tools and most importantly identify and use the tools your leadership already has in their tool box.
Contacts us to have an open discussion about what you need and what you want.
